Commodore Perry Estate

Auberge Resorts Collection | Austin, Texas

Greenbrier Southwest was the project manager for development of the historic Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, Texas. Originally built in 1928, the 10-acre estate on Waller Creek in the Hancock neighborhood, just north of the University of Texas campus, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of Austin’s most significant architectural landmarks. The 10,800-square-foot historic mansion, chapel and formal gardens have been restored and re-envisioned as an urban retreat for club members and guests of the 49-room Auberge hotel constructed on the grounds, which opened in June 2020 as the Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection. The property has been named the Best Hotel in Austin by US News Travel and is the only Austin hotel to receive two Michelin Keys (one of only three hotels to receive that honor in Texas). Lutie’s, the newly built on-site restaurant, has been recognized by Southern Living, the Forbes Michelin Guide and Food and Wine as one of the top dining experiences in the state. Greenbrier Southwest continues to be involved as a member of the development team for the residential project on the western half of the estate property.
